Experience

Ted Ross is the Executive Director of the Gulf Coast Transit District, leading all facets of transit operations and strategy for Galveston and Brazoria Counties. With over 20 years of expertise in the transportation industry, including 14 years dedicated to public transit, Ted is a visionary leader known for transforming transit systems and delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions. He has steered GCTD into an era of growth, modernization, and community focus, making it a responsive and forward-thinking organization that serves the unique needs of all riders.

In his role, Ted oversees a diverse transit network that includes Microtransit and the League City Park and Ride, and critical services for veterans traveling to the Texas Medical Center in Houston. His efforts have gone beyond operations to strategically elevate GCTD as a regional leader in public transit, working closely with local governments, community leaders, and stakeholders to ensure transit services are not only effective but are also seamlessly integrated with the community’s needs and aspirations.
