Gulf Coast Transit District Welcomes New Buses to Fleet

At Gulf Coast Transit District, we’re always looking for ways to serve you better. We're thrilled to announce that two brand-new buses have joined our Ride The Wave on-demand fleet! These vehicles mark the first step in updating our fleet, with even more new buses coming later this year.

For years, our buses have connected neighbors to jobs, schools, medical appointments, and community spaces. But as our older vehicles reached the end of their service life, we knew we had an opportunity—not just to replace them, but to improve them.

Slightly shorter than previous models, the new buses navigate residential streets more easily while still offering the same reliable curb-to-curb service. Each vehicle comes equipped with an electric lift and dedicated spaces for two wheelchairs or mobility scooters, alongside twelve comfortable passenger seats.

What really makes these buses stand out is their vibrant exterior wrap featuring the service's signature wave design. The eye-catching graphics celebrate the Gulf Coast's character while making the vehicles easily recognizable throughout the community.
